The Delhi government has opened registrations for the Common Entrance Test (CET-2025) under the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Vidya Shakti Mission. This initiative aims to provide coaching for top competitive exams to students from government schools, officials announced on Friday.
According to a circular from the Directorate of Education (DoE), the entrance tests will be held from October 12 to October 26 at government schools throughout Delhi, reported PTI.
This scheme will help students prepare for competitive entrance exams such as JEE (Main/Advanced), NEET, CLAT, CA Foundation, and CUET (UG).
A total of 2,200 seats are available across various courses. Each of the JEE, NEET, CLAT, and CA Foundation exams will have 50 seats reserved for girls. CUET offers 1,000 seats, with 150 reserved for girls. Coaching will be conducted through empanelled institutions in Delhi, covering course fees, study materials, and test papers.
Students in class 11 are eligible for JEE, NEET, CLAT, and CA Foundation preparation, while class 12 students from all streams can apply for CUET coaching.
Registrations are open from September 11 to September 30.
Students can register for only one course and cannot change their course once registered. Admit cards will be available two days before the exam date.
The DoE will generate roll numbers and assign examination centres five days before the scheduled exam. Selected students will be invited for counselling sessions to choose their preferred coaching institute.
The Delhi govt also offers the Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana which provides free or subsidised coaching for competitive and entrance exams, including JEE, NEET, and UPSC, to General category students as well as SC, ST, and OBC candidates. The Delhi government covers 75% of the coaching fees, while students contribute 25%. Students with a family income of Rs 2 lakh or less are eligible for full fee coverage, with the grants being transferred directly to coaching institutes in two installments.
