I Could Walk 10,000 Steps In These Comfy Walmart Heels
There’s something so special about a pair of heels that both look and feel great. As someone who’s always struggled to find a pair of shoes that fit just right and give me that Carrie Bradshaw ‘I can run in my heels’ feeling, I was pleasantly surprised with my first pair of LifeStride heels.
The LifeStride Women’s August sandal might just be the comfiest pair of heels I own, and trust me, I own a lot. Many brands claim they deliver cushioned heels for long day wear, but few actually deliver, in my honest opinion.
LifeStride’s August sandal, priced at just $60, has been my go-to party shoe for the past few months, and I’ve worn them everywhere, even logging 10,000 steps in them on one busy day.
These heels are available in two colors and I own the light blue shade. I find that it pairs well with denim jeans, mini dresses, and even long skirts come summer.
They have an open toe design — so you can show off that fresh pedicure — and an adjustable ankle buckle to keep your foot stable all day long. The insole itself is soft and cushioned, and the outer sole features added traction for when you’re on the go.
I’ve never slipped or lost my footing with these shoes, and I’ve worn them everywhere from New York City subways to crowded street walks. Yes, I’ve even worn them in light rain and survived.
As for heel height, these comfy platforms come with a 3.5-inch heel, which will even appeal to those who prefer footwear that’s closer to the ground. That said, they still gave me an elevated look, and due to their comfort levels, I found myself choosing them over my stilettos every single time.
Of course, because they’re open-toe, many of you might not want to wear them come fall. I suggest pairing them with your favorite pair of stockings and rocking them anyway. (I’ve never received so many compliments on a fit as when donning my Sheertex tights with my LifeStride August sandals.)
LifeStride even offers this same shoe with a wide fit if you need a larger sole. My mom, for example, always buys wider shoes as she suffers from plantar fasciitis and foot pain. I bought the medium size fit for this pair, but appreciate the fact that LifeStride makes an option for every kind of foot.
Sizes are selling out quickly, so make sure to snag your pair of LifeStride heels before you miss your chance.
